A word from our Honorary Chair, Daisy Mae

Welcome to the Daisy Mae Dog Zone area of the Alexandria Red Cross Waterfront Festival. I am Daisy Mae Delray, the honorary chair of this inaugural event.

I am so excited that the Waterfront Festival is giving us canines the opportunity to join the festivities. We pet companions are huge fans of the Red Cross worldwide. They include us when helping our owners in times of trouble, offer pet first aid classes and have a training program so we can be therapy dogs. We are important to the people who love us and we are important to the Red Cross.

I sure hope that you plan to come to the Daisy Mae Dog Zone to meet me and to visit with other canines and their owners. There is no charge for admittance to the Daisy Mae Dog Zone. If you are interested in sponsorship or being an exhibitor that would be wonderful. Click here to get more information on how to participate. Do be sure to follow the rules listed above to make sure we all have a good time.

This is going to be wonderful fun so plan to bring your four legged friends to the Festival Pier to participate in fun doggie activities including: an American Red Cross Pet First Aid demonstration, contests, a dog refreshment area (water stations) and visit our sponsoring pet vendors for the latest is treats and gift ideas.

Love,
Daisy Mae
